Tone & Tempo is designed to work without an account and to collect as little personal information as possible.

Microphone access

The tuner requests microphone permission only after you press “Start microphone.” Audio samples are analysed locally in your browser to estimate pitch. They are not recorded, stored or uploaded by Tone & Tempo. Access stops when you stop the tuner, close the page or revoke permission.

Device preferences and technical data

The core tools do not require cookies. We may use local browser storage to remember non-sensitive preferences such as tempo, time signature or finish. Our hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time for security, reliability and aggregated traffic measurement.

Advertising

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Visitors can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. We will identify advertising clearly and update this policy when advertising is activated.

Consent

Where required, including for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform before requesting consent-dependent advertising storage or personalised ads. You will be able to accept, reject or manage available choices.

Sharing and retention

Tone & Tempo does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers necessary to operate, secure, measure or fund the site, subject to their own terms and legal obligations. Retention is limited to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

Your choices
